What is beauty?
To me, I am not beautiful. I am not beautiful because I am everything that I think is ugly. When I am wearing circle lenses and make-up, and have my hair straightened and freshly dyed…even then, I am not beautiful.
My mother thinks I am beautiful when I am in my pajamas, when I have just woken up and have scruffy hair. She thinks I am beautiful because she is my mother, therefore she is biased.
What is beauty? To me, the most beautiful people in the world are Asian. I am not racist. I can see beauty in other people, but Asians (ie. Korean, Japanese, Chinese etc) are the most beautiful. Their features are beautiful. Everything about them is perfect.
I am an overweight white girl with naturally mousy brown hair (dyed black currently) and blue eyes. I do not find that beautiful. I have short legs and ugly fingers. My nose is broad and doesn’t fit my face. Up until December of last year, I had braces, which were a pain, and were also not beautiful. I constantly compare myself to everyone around me because I can see beauty in every single one of them and not myself.
Although I have traits that people might find attractive, I am not beautiful. I can draw, and I can sing and act. I am a kind, open, understanding person and I respect people for who they are. I always try my best to be friends with everyone, but I am not beautiful.
Perhaps I am shallow and weak for thinking that I need to be beautiful and slim. But I genuinely think this. People at college do not want to talk to me, and I think it’s because I am ugly, and they would rather not be seen with someone like me.
I am sorry for this. I just needed to say it.
Maybe I am no longer beautiful
because I spend my time looking at beautiful people.
